    Jumbo Cage Dimensions

    • Interior: 27" x 84.5" = about 16 Square Feet of cage space!
    • Exterior: 30" x 90" when assembled with grids (not included in this item) you will need a table space of about 2.5 feet by 7.5 feet to accommodate this cage.

    Coro Height Preference

This refers to the HEIGHT of the COROPLAST on ONE long-side of the cage -- for the back wall.

    • 6" (inches) is standard. 6" sides all the way around maximizes ventilation and visibility, and it is generally high enough to keep in bedding for most guinea pigs. Also, a water bottle spout resting on the top of the 6" Coroplast is a good height for guinea pigs to drink from.
    • 12" (inches) is good if the long side of your cage is going up against a wall. This helps prevent hay (and in some cases bedding) from being kicked up and getting stuck against the wall. You can always cut it down later if you decide it doesn't work for you. The 12" option is just to help you keep your floor and wall cleaner in some circumstances.

NOTE: We do NOT offer 12" walls all the way around because we do NOT recommend it. It cuts off too much air circulation for the guinea pigs. In addition, even if you wanted it regardless of our advice, coroplast is only 48 inches wide and that would require 51 inches.

    Coroplast Base Includes

    • 4mm Coroplast bottom 27" x 84.5" x 6" walls in your choice of 15 colors! The base is cut and scored so you only have to secure the flaps. (Coroplast base is scored and folded for shipping, which makes an indented "crush" line, but it does not affect the function of the cage. It's barely noticeable when fully assembled.)
    • (16) Snap-in Plastic Rivets to fasten flaps.

    NEW! Rivets on the Flaps!

    • We've updated our cage design to make it even easier and more secure than ever! All of our Coroplast bases now come with nice, clean holes -- professionally punched in the appropriate locations. We include our new, easy-snap-in plastic rivets for securing the base.
    • The rivets, while very secure when in place, can also be popped back open with a little separation pressure should you need to dissemble your cage and are generally reuseable.

How many Guinea Pigs will fit in a 2x6?

    • Up to 4 adult guinea pigs comfortably. It varies a bit, depending upon your group. For example, rarely will 4 adult males be compatible even in this large of a cage. Usually 3 males is about the largest group that will get along together in any caged environment in the long run.
    • It would be possible to house a larger, well-bonded group of 5, perhaps as many as 6, but that would really be pushing it.
    • ONE guinea pig needs at least a 2x3 grid-sized cage. And this is why the JUMBO size is IDEAL if you need to divide a cage because a pair is fighting OR you need to separate a male and female to prevent pregnancy. You just need a Cage Divider or our "Wall of Silence" down the middle of a 2x6 to instantly create two 2x3 grid cages.

It's worth it!! Don't forget to clean it

Worth every dime! This is durable and last and fits perfectly within the cubes. Easy to assemble and ships fast. Fairly easy to clean and remove. I used to have to buy a new one every 5-6 mos or so because poos and pee stuck to the bottom. Now I clean twice or three times a week and don't have to buy a new base nearly as frequently. TOTALLY RECCOMEND THIS PRODUCT! Just clean frequently to help it last longer.

    You guys.... are amazing.

You've made my move SO MUCH EASIER on me.

I got this base to make a new C&C for my two boars, and I got my new boar on Friday (Sept. 7th) and then learned that I was going to be moving into a new house MUCH faster than we had initially thought. We're moving in within the next two weeks... so for now, the pigs can stay in separate cages (but properly sized) and then, once we move, we can just start the whole cage... anew! Rather than using shower curtains which are kinda icky after awhile.

So, with the way you guys ship (which is amazing. you're fast.) and are able to talk to your customers, just made me so much happier. Plus, you've made my piggies' lives better! Now, in a couple of weeks, they will be in their new cage in a new house, and they will be able to start anew. Just like my parents and I. I think we're all ready. Especially the piggies... they wanna be together!

Thank you guys. I know that was jumbled, but I hope you can see how you made it all easier. THANK YOU.

    Highly recommend!

My piggies love their cage!:) I bought pre-cut coroplast from Sue and bought cubes from target. I put the cage together in less than an hour. It is a 2x6 cage with a divider down the middle (Both my pigs like to be dominant, therefore can't be in the same cage) They popcorn and run laps just for fun! Anyone who owns 1 or more guinea pigs should have a c&c cage!
