You're not going to find a better piggie housing option than this, especially for the price. Was delivered just a couple days after I ordered it, and was remarkably easy to put together despite what seemed initially like an overwhelming number of pieces and parts. Easy access for feeding/medicine/messes, and I found that even my first "big clean" of this cage took no time at all. My two girls get along well but sometimes need their own space, so the footprint of this cage is perfect for them. The bigger the better...and this style of cage is definitely the best way to maximize the amount of floor space your piggies get.

I'm an LVT and these cages rock!

I am the proud owner of a guinea pig, ok he is supposed to be my daughters but he is such a huge part of our home and life! "Peter Pig Pig Hale" is sooo happy in his new home! We work very hard to provide the best care for himn as I am a licensed veterinary technician and see it all. Peter is 2.5 years old and I wish we would have gotten him a good cage a long time ago. His previous cage was the biggest pet store kind I could find/afford and for just a bit more he has a mansion! He is so much more playful and active and doesn't spend all day in his Pigloo! Thank you so much Sue! Melissa Hale LVT

The cage is great!!! I am not the handiest person in the world and I was able to build the cage in only a few minutes. We got the XL (2x5) cage and our guinea pig just loves it. Sue was very helpful in coming up with bedding solutions so our budget is not taken up by buying more and more aspen. I would recommend Sue to anybody that needs Guinea Pig information or cages.:-}

My daughter and I LOVE this cage we ordered from here. She had always wanted this type for the guinea pigs. I was always apprehensive about it. However, I wouldn’t have any other kind now. Ordering was so easy. And we couldn’t believe how quickly we received it after ordering. The set up took no time at all. This store is the greatest place I have ever shopped at for our little babies. I am getting ready to order some additional items. After you get this cage, you will be excited about adding extras to it. Thank you for making such a neat, excellent quality, safe and affordable habitat.

I've never seen them this excited!

We bought our guinea pigs Jack and Yoda from, gasp, a pet store. We did a little research before we got them, but we didn't know exactly how horrible Petsmart and their cage we bought from them, even though it was the largest they had, was. We got a 2x5 C&C cage today and within, literally, ten minutes they were running around on their fleece jumping everywhere! I've never seen them this excited! Thanks Sue! The space they have now is amazing!:)

Just do it!

I learned about this website from my friend, and I was a bit skeptical at first, having spent over $200 on a new cage and accessories. I had the biggest one I could find (a mere 40 inches), and I was feeling pretty good. Then I read this site, and ordered my 2x5 grid C&C cage the next week. It was so much easier to put together and clean, and I had so much more space to add accessories, tunnels, and hideouts. My pigs love it. If you are considering getting a cage for your pigs, stop considering now- just do it. ~Olivia

I bought one of my cages from this site and made one myself. I have six guinea pigs and absolutely love these cages! They are simply amazing and so worth the money (Which isn't expensive at all compared to other cages). My pigs enjoy the room, having spent their lives in pet store cages before I rescued and adopted them. I guess my baby pigs (Sebastian and Charles who came to me from a pregnant mother I adopted, irresponsible previous owner!) have never had to deal with a pet shop cage! Living in the lap of luxury all their lives! Anywho, I really reccomend these lovely and spacious cages.:)

I told my daughter for her and her brothers birthdays they could have guniea pigs then I had to really research it. I found this site (www.guineapigcages.com) and learned a ton.. I had already gotten a pet store cage. but decided to get the extra large C&C cage. The guinea pigs we got were in nice clean but small cages at the store and there was 5 to 7 pigs in a cage. no toys, no hay, no veggies.. just water a pellets. The first night when things go quiet. the guinea pigs started talking and running and popcorning. so much fun. they are still scared of us but are getting better all the time and today they ate more of the veggies. Im excited about our new family members give me all the advice you can!

More social piggie now

I have had these wonderful pets for almost 10 years. I am on my fourth little piggie, a rex mix sow named Gabby. I had her in the cage I used for my other three piggies and then I quickly realized that she was outgrowing it, and fast! I had read about the C&C cages from the local rescue site when I had my third piggie. So I thought, why not? I'll give it a try. I ordered a 2x5 grid, which I quickly realized was too big when I got it! So I got in contact with Sue and she said just bring it up and I can cut it down for you. And like that it was set in my room, with a guinea pig foreman who was watching every little move that was going on. It's been a week now and the change was evident from the first tentative steps in the cage. Gabby is a VERY happy guinea pig, who is eagerly awaiting a friend to keep her company during my long school hours. I think the thing that I love the most about getting this cage, is, the fact she'll come out and say hi now. Before, she was so depressed she only came out to eat and drink. I also enjoy watching her do laps around her cage at night. For a guinea pig around the size of a 20oz soda bottle, this is a dream come true! I'll defiantly keep going with this type of cage, in fact, I'm thinking of adding a second floor already!

I have a 6 month old cavy, his name is Bowser. I had him in one of those store cages and he was always in his Igloo, he used to come out to eat and then go back in there. I bought the extra large cage for him and man what a difference, he runs and jumps, he likes to make all kinds of sounds, he is a krazy little one, now he has the space he needed to feel free he is MUCH happier in his big home. I'm even thinking on getting him a playmate, he can share the space with another piggy.

I have had my guinea pig for almost 2 years and he was in a small cage, until I finally realized that he was living in a litter box. I bought a 2X5 c&c cage for my guinea pig Oliver and his life was changed. He popcorns all the time and he so much more lively. These cages are so great and the cleanup is so easy. I use fleece instead of bedding. THIS IS AN AMAZING CAGE, GET IT!!

NO more prison cell for my pigs!

I got my C&C Cage yesterday. It is a 2x5 cages and we have two guinea pigs. It only took me about 10 minutes to assemble the cage and as soon as I put them both in the cage they started popcorning. Their old cage was a store bought prison cell which was so small they had to share the same house all the time. Now they just run and chase each other around constantly and make all kinds of noises. They would always just lay around in the old cage looking at us like "man are we bored". Don't know how easy it is to clean right now since we just got it but it has to be easier than the other one.

Thank you Sue for a great cage! We got Chip about 8 weeks ago and have fallen in total love with him. He was about 6 weeks old when we got him. My 6 yr old daughter and I had really wanted a piggie, so my husband finally agreed (we already have 2 dogs and a fish). We all fell and love with Chip and the more I read about piggies, I learned that they really do better in pairs. So after a little more research we got another male. His name is Ben and is 6 weeks old. We had gotten a store bought cage when we got Chip which cost us $70 and that was too small. We gave Chip a lot of floor time so he would have room to run. Before we got another cage for both the boys, I wanted to first check online to see what else was out there. That is where I found this site and these cages. What a great, easy to assemble cage and the boys love it. I ordered it on a Sunday and it was on my door step on Wednesday! Thank you Sue!

Sue was such a pleasure to do business with...the service was fast...and my guinea pigs (Pig & Cookie) LOVE their new house! I previously had an extra large Superpet cage...although this was large for a commercial cage, it was tiny compared to my new C&C cage. My pigs have never been so happy and active! Thank you Sue!!

My granddaughter, Davina and I rescue rodents. We started with rats and now have rats, a mouse, degus and 3 guinea pigs. Two of them came from the Humane Society, and the other one was abandoned in front of our Pteco store, so we adopted her too. They are all females. We started out with the typical store bought gp cage. Our piggies wouldn't do anything but sit there. When we gave them free range time, that's all they'd do too. In researching how to better care for them, we realized they needed a bigger cage. I ordered a 5 x 2 grid one from Sue. As soon as it arrived, Davina put it together all by herself. It was so easy! We put three hidy places for them, a run through tent made from an extra piece of coroplast, and a litter box. Then we added our guinea pigs. At first they just sat there and looked around. So we left the room for a few minutes. When we came back, they were having such fun! I never saw such active gp ever! They played chase, hide 'n seek, and just loved exploring every thing! Our babies will never be in anything smaller ever again. Now we have the challenge of finding new boredum busters to keep them amused. I am so thankful that we found this site! Thanks, Sue for making Momma, Winnie, and Penny so happy!

I have five piggies and they all love their c and c cages. Currently I have two extra large cages that are divided down the middle. I love these cages so much that I am planning on getting another one to add to the current cages so my piggies will have more space. They love being able to run around and constantly popcorn. It's adorable when they all run laps around the cages together. I would certainly recommend these cages to anyone with guinea pigs. :-)

Reinforced it for my cat

I received my cage materials April 30 and I had it together in about 20 minutes.I wasn't sure it would stay put if a cat happened to jump up on the side of it. So first I attached bungie cords in three places that connected in a square on each side running under the table. Then I put 2 screw eyes in the wall and tie wrapped the cage to them. This made the cage nice and secure and cat proof. I just got my grids to make the lid today. I had that finished in about 15 minutes. I use a 1x4 in the middle of the top to keep the lid from sinking down in the middle. When I put the piggies in they explored a few minutes and then the baby started running laps. My 4 year old started popcorning, something she hasn't done in a while! I would highly recommend a C&C cage to anyone who loves their guinea pigs. I love my cage and I can tell my piggies love it, too.

Sir Zephyr gave me the input for the ratings - he's the most qualified! He loves his new 'yellow submarine' play area. This cage, in addition to his nighttime quarters, gives him almost 15 sq. ft. of exercise space. And when he gets tired, he has my lap to relax in. All-in-all, Sir Zephyr is a very happy piggie. Thanks Sue, for the wonderful cage and easy-to-follow instructions. I'll recommend you to other cavy owners. Judy - CavyOne :)

I ordered a 2x5 (13 sq ft) cage a few weeks ago for Mooks (black 1 yr female) and Jib Jib (black/white 6 mo. female). Their old cage was 1/3 of the size. It was the biggest cage I could find for guinea pigs when I bought it. We had been looking to get a bigger cage for some time b/c we want to expand the herd to include a third pig. The supplies were hard to find near us, so we just ordered one. This cage from Sue cost less than the new, largest cage I could find at any pet store, and it is much much bigger. Its as big as our couch!! I talked to the girls about the "new hut" a lot before it came and they noticed the commotion when it finally arrived and was being built. They were pretty excited and popcorned around. They were used to shredded paper and newspaper, so the "fluff" stuff obviously felt different for a while. Now Mooks will sometimes walk along the edge with me as I head into the bedroom. Its very cute! I also now have enough room to put two huts in the pen at once. This is great b/c they frequently argue over who gets to use the fleece igloo.

Highly recommend getting the edging for the coroplast, it gives it a nice clean look and prevents chewing.
