This cage is amazing! It took 10 min. to set up and came within the week I ordered it! My pigs love it and it is most defiantly worth getting! It is a lot bigger than I expected as well!!
I recently adopted Kiara & Naomi from a rescue/foster org. They love the 2x4 cage from Guineapigcages.com. On their first night, I hear them bouncing of the coroplast walls when they do their laps - even late at night when the lights are off! Maybe I'll complete their loft later, so they can have more space. Thanks Sue!
These cages are brilliant! My guinea pig, Baby, is from a shelter. They took good care of her but their cage space was limited. Baby was happily surprised by the space in the 2x4 cage I bought from this site! Even though she was a bit shocked from being in a new home she still runs around just for fun! The cage is very durable and easy to clean, plus the shipping was fast. Anyone who wants or has a guinea pig should get them one of these lovely cages!
I am a cavy owner of about 3 years now. My first cavy (Buddy) lived in the largest possible pet store cage, and unfortunately all by himself. Since he was getting to be overweight, and lazier than any animal I have ever seen, I decided to get him a friend. This is when I decided to start looking into other options for their housing arrangements. Not only did I find out about the wonders of fleece, but I found out about the C&C cage. Now both cavies live in luxury on fleece in a 10.5 sq foot c&c cage. I have never seen Buddy happier in his life. He is popcorning much more than usual (which was little to none). Not only are my boys happy, but so am I. The purchase was a breeze, I was kept informed throughout the entire process, which was shorter than I expected too. I recommend these cages to anyone who cares about their cavy.
Ordered my cage on Sunday and received my package on Thursday, the shipping was definitely fast. But one thing is the Cage is huge. Won't look like it in the picture but it's way more than enough space to put 3-4 guinea pig in. Got two boys and they both been popcorning around ever since I put them in.
Hey everyone! I'm just posting to say that C&C cages are the best way to house little piggies. The day after I introduced my two piggies to they're new C&C cage, I noticed a huuge difference. Mia (my cavy) no longer sat in her hidey house all day, only coming out to nibble. She now runs around the cage and plays with my newer cavy, Bindi. I just recieved this one of these cages yesterday, and my piggies are already so much happier! They have more room to run around. Most cages are not big enough for more than one pig and are far too expensive. This cage is great and was very affordable.
I had an expensive store bought cage, after 2 days with my new piggies I knew they were not happy. I did some intensive googling and 2 days later I ordered a 2x4 C&C Cage. Four days later it arrived. Once I assembled (super easy to do) I placed my piggies in and I have never heard them wheek so much, they were running all over the place. This cage is amazing! The product came rapidly (I am in PA and it arrived the day after it shipped) and was in perfect condition exactly as ordered. You really have to see the assembled cage to realize how BIG it is. Instructions were clear, set-up was fun and easy, and I am sure it will be a big hit with guinea pigs. Highly recommended!
I could not be happier with this site, forum, galleries (www.guineapigcages.com) and the cage I purchased. I know much more about guinea pig care, and my pigs are more active, curious and happy now that they live together in their giant new cage.
This cage is perfect for my two bonded boys! They love it, and it was super easy to put together. The only reason I'm rating it 4/5 is because when I took one boy out for a nail trim, the other pig got antsy and started chewing on the grid, and some of the paint/coating came off. This is a good product--just make sure to keep your pigs happy and entertained to prevent gnawing.
We purchased our first 2x4 from Sue almost 1 year ago and are thrilled with it. Not only is it easier for the kids to help clean the cage (our style is open topped as we have no other animals), it is easier for them to take them out for loving and treats. We noticed a big difference in our 2 female's behavior (Snuffles and Guinea) right away - they love running around the perimeter for a quick exercise! I built a 'hide-away' where they can snuggle together as well as climb on top for treats and fresh farm Timothy hay (ordered from OxBow company on website - great hay and very fresh! They like it much better than the old pet store kind.) I have ordered a 2x3 for a second level (more like a bi-level) as we just got 2 more GP's (Oreo and Hershey) and want to make sure there is plenty of room for our girls! The coroplast base was well worth the money. Not only does this website offer larger coro sizes than my local (and by "local," I really mean two towns over for me) hardware store, but it was CHEAPER than my local store too! Our family ordered the orange base and it took about two minutes to put together. My three-year-old daughter was able to put in the rivets all by herself! Very happy with my purchase. Our family is planning on upgrading our piggy cage with a loft in the very near future. ;) Our piggies were happy with this purchase too!
I bought my cage from Sue (I live in Chicago, so I figured shopping for all the materials to make the cage myself would be a hassle). The cage arrived about a week ago & my pigs absolutely LOVE it!! It was so easy to assemble. Since I moved them into the new cage, my older guinea pig, Lucy, started running laps around it and doing popcorns. She didn't do much in her old cage. Minnie, the baby pig I recently adopted, is constantly running around and having a ball. There is plenty of room for them to run around, and room for their huts and toys. They are so much happier since we got the C&C cage! I just did a full cleaning & it was so easy. I used a dustpan to scoop out the bedding and it only took like 5-10 mins to clean the entire cage! My 3 children needed a pet that was low-maintenance but fun to handle, and the guinea pig was the perfect pet. We have had our little guy, Rocky Road, since August and he is awesome!!!! We had the classic starter cage, but had no intention of keeping him there forever, and found this website 2 months ago. We ordered an open-top cage and Rocky loves it. It is easy to keep clean, and gives him more than enough room to run around in.Thanks from the Steiners, and from a happy cavy named Rocky.
Dear Sue, Avery and Suri LOVE their new cage and so do I. It is so easy to maintain and they don't get the bedding all over the floor anymore. That took up most of my time just keeping the floor clean. They are so happy with all the freedom and space they have.Thank you sooooooo much.
I will be buying my son two guinea pigs for his birthday. I've been doing a lot of research on guinea pigs and just about everything I've read promoted the bigger cage. I just got my cage from Sue. It was extremely easy to put together. I'm using lining, towels and green (my son's favorite color) fleece for the bedding. All I need now are some toys.Can't wait to get the guinea pigs.
Thank You just does not seem like enough to express the absolute joy the piggie boys and I feel about the new cage. It was easy to set up (less than a half hour) decorating and being fussy takes forever! The boys are wheeking and purring, popcorning everywhere and enjoying veggies in their brand new home.
I'm very pleased with our new C&C cage - very roomy (2x4), super easy to assemble, great instructions with additional information. Our 2 guinea pigs love it too! The wire grids are thicker & the connectors work better than ones I bought elsewhere to make a stand, & I like the all of the color choices available.
I have been through a numerous amount of cages just trying to make my piggies happy. Now, I am so pleased and ecstatic with the C&C cage kit that I purchased. It didn't take long for the kit to arrive, nor set it up, and both my oldest (6 years) and youngest (2.5 years) guinea pigs are becoming used to their new environment. I can't believe I waited this long for such a great kit at a reasonable cost. Everything is so much easier now that I've got a C&C Cage.
For anyone even remotely considering this cage, dont hesitate, GET IT!! Its HUGE,so much room for 2 pigs, plenty for 3 if that's what u have. Kevin and Nugget 'came to life' when they got into this cage. It's a giant playpen/eatery/fun time chill spot for them.dont think twice, get it, u wont regret it. My guinea pigs and I are so happy! This product came in less than 3 days with everything present and in perfect condition. Set up was super easy (like 5 mins per cage). I personally love the finished look of the cages. My pigs are over the moon. Previously, we did not have the raised edges to contain the bedding (we only use fleece). My pigs feel so much more secure and comfortable in their cages. My boys have enough room to popcorn and have some small zoomies in the 2X4 cage; but with how easy it is to set up and install I'll be adding on a 2X2 loft in the upcoming days. (And the cute trim they offer to keep my little nibblers from chewing) If you're hesitant like I was, feel assured that these are quality products that will improve your pigs' lives.

I'd just like to say this site opened my eyes (www.guineapigcages.com). My store bought cage was horrible and paled in comparison to the size of a c&c cage. My two cavies love their new 2x4 cage. The shipping was so fast I didn't know what hit me. It came literally 2 days after I ordered it! I put it together in 5-10 minutes and it's so easy to do. Just upgraded from a 2x3 to a 2x4 C&C cage - even that "one panel" size increase seemed to increase their activity and happiness. I'm definitely a firm believer - bigger is better!
I stumbled upon this website by accident-I was searching for a BIGGER cage for my 3 piggies. I ordered one from this site, it arrived VERY quickly! It was SO easy to put together-maybe 15 minuets. Our piggies are like new piggies-running around, playing tag, popcorning and wheeking all the time! It is so much fun to watch them play and run around-something they NEVER did in the other cage. My guinea pig is clearly happier in her new spacious coroplast cage. Clean up is much easier, too! During the day she still stays in her pigloo as much as possible. However, at dusk she comes out to play and runs full speed sometimes around the cage. She couldn't have done that before if she'd have wanted to in her old space. I have one of the cages at the school where I teach, and one at home. The guinea pig is easily transported back and forth in a small carrier. Now, she never stays overnight alone. I think she's happier.
