Pros:
  • Piggy’s love it
Cons:
  • Irritated their feet
My guinea pigs loved this ramp at first, but after having it for a few months, my piggies feet started to get red and irritated, and were really sensitive. If you are planning on purchasing this product, please cover it with a fleece liner of some sort! Otherwise, I would totally reccomend!

My guinea pig figured out the ramp within minutes and absolutely loves his new loft! In fact, he spends most of his time up there, when he's not zooming up and down! He definitely seems happier (more popcorning!) I did modify it and use a portal grid (with the opening) instead of a solid one on the front as I was worried about him fitting as he gets bigger and I like that better but everything else about it is great!

When we recently brought a couple of Guinea Pigs home from the local SPCA, I started looking into indoor cage options to keep our piggies warm and close to us. All the store bought cages were too small for my liking, but during my online researching, I stumbled upon the Guinea Pig Cages Store and their C&C cages.

Wow! What a great cage solution! As big as you want, they look fantastic, and so flexible. Very reasonably priced too, especially compared to other store bought cages.

Unfortunately, living in New Zealand meant that shipping the huge cage that I wanted was out of my budget, but I emailed Sue from the store and she was very helpful and patient with me while I tried to figure out whether I could afford to go ahead.

In the end I found some supplies locally and made a large 2x5 cage myself, inspired by these wonderful cages, and then put an order through the store for a 1x2 Narrow loft with ramp, some support Bars and extendable rod for our cage lid, and some windows to keep our cat from reaching into the cage.

Sue was wonderful to deal with, - super friendly, patient and helpful, and I could not be happier with the loft and ramp. My order was shipped out quickly, and was very easy to put together.

I got a black loft to match our cage, and a pink ramp, - it looks so pretty!

Our two piggies love their new loft space too, - they have been running super speed circuits round the cage and up and down the ramp all weekend, and have taken to mostly sleeping upstairs. There is enough space up there for a pigloo and a doughnut bed.

I cannot recommend these cage enough. If you are on the fence about them, - just go for it! They are truly fantastic.

We adopted a pair of piggies and didn’t introduce the ramp until a few weeks after. The younger (and more timid) surprisingly took to the ramp more quickly and decided the 2nd floor was his new hiding space. It wasn’t for another week or two until his buddy one day decided to go up, and then claimed it! Our children love to watch the piggies run the ramp and they have gotten so good that they sometimes jump off the end.

Installation was super easy and the carpet is grippy and gentle on their feet.

Would never do anything differently

Hi,My four guineas have been in a C&C cage for over a year, and both of us love it! It is SO much easier for me to access during the daily spotclean and weekly complete cleaning than the other types of cages I used at first, and it is SO much easier to pick up a guinea for floortime, etc. I remember that Sue was very helpful about sending extra coroplast for my guineas when I had little babies and the walls had to be higher for a bit because they could fit through the little openings in the cubes. The floor is soft on the guineas' delicate feet, too. Also, it is easy to tell from the website how much room one should have and the C&C cages are quite easy to put together. We would now never get a different kind.
