I just assembled the three barns and corrals that I had *custom made* for my piggies by these great folks. Not only did they go together easily, it was obvious that a lot of thought went into the design and engineering. The best part is the hay is no longer spread all over the cage within five minutes! I'm looking forward to a lot less wasted hay. Thanks!!

Consider elevating barn with binder clips

Cons:

Our guinea pigs LOVE this Hearty Hay Barn but one of our wild little pups decided to jump in it first thing, and hog the hay for herself (as well as defiling the food). If you are in a similar situation and want to "keep the piggy out" -- consider elevating it off the floor using the included binder clips. They seem to prefer reaching up a little bit to the hay anyway. Also, no matter the hay rack we always find that pulling some of the strands of hay partially out with our finger (so they stick out of the openings) makes it easier and more fun for them to access the yummy goodness of the hay. After all you never want to stand between a piggy and their food. Wheek!

Slightly disappointed

Pros:
 • Holds a lot of hay.
Cons:
 • Gets the hay dirty
I got this for my C&C cage thinking it would be a cool thing to get. But, my guinea pigs get in it and poop and urinate in the hay and it's pretty disgusting. I would change this product so that the guinea pigs can't get in but you can put hay in.

From GPCS: Hi Jackson, we also had some issues with the barn as well, so we've discontinued this product.

Pros:
 • large size
Cons:
 • harder to clean
When we first got this, our piggies were small enough to dart into the holes and use the barn as a hidey-hole, so we took it out for a couple of weeks until they got bigger. But it's sturdy, holds a lot of hay, and the kids love the way the pigs go to the "hay barn" to eat. For future changes, I'd suggest making the roof easily removable for easier cleaning, but it's a great little hay rack!
