Be sure to add the Piggy Perch Theater fleece from Guinea Pig Market to mix and match your own custom hideaway!

Piggy-Perch

Don't Forget the Snacks!

Be sure to provide a large amount of fresh, high quality hay in the Cavy Kitchen Suite at all times. This can be placed in our colorful Hayware or piled loosely on the ground. For happy and healthy piggies, consider adding some safe, Munchable Toys from Guinea Pig Market, which are designed to encourage exercise and also deter unwanted cage chewing. Tasty additions like timothy hay, orchard grass and safe, edible herbs are sure to entice even the most finicky connoisseurs.

You guys do realize that that is a marijuana leaf on your fleece liners, right?

Yes, of course, we are aware. :) It's a beautiful pattern. Did you notice the whole article about HEMP bedding? That is also the leaf of HEMP which is a massively important crop which can and hopefully will become more and more important as it can go a long way towards improving the sustainability of our planet. :) It's a great plant.

There is nothing wrong with it. I agree that hemp is a fantastic thing! I have just seen other companies that are not as open-minded as you think it was something else. I applaud you for using that pattern,. It is a wonderful plant and it shows how progressive you are.

I thought that was the motivation and we greatly appreciate you pointing it out, just in case we had a personal problem with it. But that isn't us. :) Our entire team is progressive in many ways, with animal welfare being a huge top priority. :) Thanks again for helping us out.

Hi Arianna, I understand. We'd love to be able to do that and have tried various approaches, but none really work. The products are complicated with various options that have to be determined (colors, sizes, option features and such) for each component. And not everyone wants everything as it is in the picture. Technically, it's just too complicated to do on our platform. And the merging of a lot of different color and feature options would also be confusing to sort out as well. Hopefully we'll figure something out in the future -- we keep trying, but for now listing all the items that make up a given creative configuration is the best we can offer. Thank you.

I know I should've just emailed you guys, but I LOVE how you used and talked about hemp in this creation. I'm only 16 right now but PLEASE keep this creation up here because one day when I finally live somewhere I can have my own piggies i'm going to buy this creation. But I have some questions. 1. Why don't you merge your websites? I feel like it could be easier for the customers, but that's not to say that I don't realize the hard work that goes into creating these sites, I think you have done an amazing job 2. I wonder where some of the old fleece patterns went, on your GP market website I remember some old fleece patterns like the white paws or the rainbow zebra one went. Where are they and will they be back? Thank you so much for your time and keep up the great work.

Awww, thanks for the positive feedback! We would merge things if we could, but we can't. They are two very separate businesses, in different states (east and midwest), so we can't combine bank accounts, shipments, operations, order lead time, anything, really. What we strive to do is make it as easy as possible to be a customer of both. We make sure everything is compatible, we share prototypes and development ideas, we cross-over on customer support and view a customer as a holistic guinea pig caretaker that we hope to support in their guinea pig journey. We have other related sites as well that support the guinea pig community. I learned a lesson long ago that in websites, especially big, complicated sites, it's better not to bite off more than you can handle and try to do too much under one umbrella. I have some other sites and site upgrades in the works that will help add more depth and info in a variety of areas. :) Regarding the old fleece patterns, the way it works in the fleece world is that the retailers are at the mercy of the patterns and fabrics that the main importing vendors choose to buy and sell in any given year. There are big annual updates of fleece wholesaler's new patterns every year. They keep doing that to keep their products fresh. So, when new patterns come in, an equal number (pretty much) need to be retired. We try to keep our popular patterns stocked from our supplier. But, over time, most patterns end up getting replaced, some sooner than others. We don't have the storage capacity to buy and store huge bolt quantities, so we're rather at the mercy of the wholesales as to what fabrics stay in stock over time. :) It was a hard lesson for us along the way, losing popular patterns. When we out-of-stock them, most of the time (not all, but most) we won't be getting that one back. Heavy sigh. :)
