Cavy Sleigh Ride

Share some Winter Magic!

Come on, it's lovely weather for a Cavy Sleigh Ride together with you. Our latest cage creation features a Large (2x4 grid) Cage with a dropdown wall! This provides full access to the entire lower level and Cavy Cafe Kitchen - making it easier than ever to clean the cage, refill hay and interact with your piggies. Energetic cavies will also love zooming up and around our Wide Loft Loop for festive games and scenic views. Add cozy fleece bedding plus accessories in the Special Edition Frosty Friends Bundles from Guinea Pig Market to create a perfect home for the holidays.

The Large (2x4 grid) cage is recommended for 2-3 female guinea pigs. For 2 males, we highly recommend upgrading to the XL (2x5 grid) Cage.

Is it possible to do this with a covered cage?

Yes, but you'd have to lift off and remove the Wonder Bar that will sit in front of the loft and open the cover if you want to take advantage of the swing down front wall. This is the cover that goes with the cage as pictured in this setup: https://www.guineapigcagesstore.com/candc-cover-deluxe-wide-xl (XL Cover with Wide Loft)

What would I need to do this type cage stand if I have a 2x5 with offset 2x2 loft? Also I have the regular walls not the drop down if that makes a difference.

How do you make the dropdown wall?

You need the items listed under the "For the Dropdown Wall" heading. They are just overlapped and cable-tied together as shown in the photo. The cable ties are the hinge and they are held in place with the binder clips. Unclip to drop down. Re-clip to hold in place.

ONLY if the Wide Loft is offset, as in this image. Otherwise, there isn't enough support. It might take more than one binder clip to secure the top half of the wall, as it will be longer and heavier, but it should still work.

Is it possible for me to add a chubby section at the bottom instead of what is shown?

If you mean 'cubby' and a regular, full-grid stand, yes. Instead of the items listed for the stand, instead, just go add the matching stand item: https://www.guineapigcagesstore.com/cage-stand-xl
