I recently started having 2 Guinea pigs and I would like a new cage for them and maybe even more. But when I set up a playpen one of my escape artists attempts to climb the wall. Would it be worth getting a cage with a cover thing?

Well, there is a difference between attempt and actually scaling the wall. But, you know your animals best. If you think you need a cover, you should get a cover. If they are young males with females on the other side, then yes! get a cover, but most guinea pig situations do not need a cover. They cannot hoist their fat bums over the wall, nor do they really want to. The main purpose of covers is to keep kids, cats and dogs out. But, go with your gut.

I love this design, and I think my little guy would love it too! Is is possible for this design to be covered to keep out a curious cat?

Well, not with the Acrylic windows. You'd have to change them to the half-grids. It might be possible, I'd have to think about it some more. :)

What is the square thing down in the bottom right corner? What pieces do I buy to make that? Thanks!

Ah, that's our "Fleece Forest" which is fleece strips hanging down from a grid. We sell it on our sister store, the Guinea Pig Market. The link to it is listed above under "Fleece and Accessories from Guinea Pig Market." It's one of the best hidey's to have. The pigs LOVE it! Stays clean for a longer time because they don't lay on it, they can still run through it and can't trap each other in it. Great for males.
