All I have to say is... this is worth every penny! Since I have set this up my guineas will not leave it. I also have to give props to this store I asked for the bistro size as I have four guineas and that's what I got at no extra cost. Shipping was fast and product is very well made! My cavys Lilo and Eve love their kitchen suite. They spend at least half their day in it. They really feel so secure in it. I love it too. Sooooo much less of a mess I'm shocked. They used to fling their litter all over my living room, but now, oh its so nice and clean. The kitchen area itself is such a breeze to clean too. The pigs and I are very happy with this product! Thanks to all you wonderful folks at the GuineaPig.com sites, great products, all of them. Its obvious you know your stuff.
So glad I purchased the kitchen suite. I got the cavy cafe for my daughter's guinea pig. It is such a nice size. I put his hay box in there along with his food and water bowl. He loves to just sit in there since it is covered instead of his house.
I'd attempted to keep potty messes contained in my girls' previous cage with little success, but this really did make a difference. They absolutely prefer to eat/drink/potty in the kitchen area, and since it's removable it's incredibly easy to clean. One of my piggies has a chronic thyroid issue which means she tends to urinate more than normal (even though she does take her medicine), and I even found that I was dealing with less urine out on the fleece in the main part of the cage than I was used to. The canopy is easy to attach and isn't a hassle to flip up and down for access to the kitchen below.
I previously purchased a sheet of white coroplast from a local home improvement store to construct my own sort of cavy kitchen suite. While it was functional, it was lacking in the aesthetics department. I decided to upgrade my coro base and kitchen suite from GPCS and I couldn't be happier. It looks fantastic, is perfectly cut and scored, and arrived in a few short days. The bendable wire in the side flaps and the plastic hinges are great touches. Will do business again!
We ordered this kitchen suite, along with a 2x5 standard cage on a Thursday morning. The product was delivered by lunch time on Saturday! The kitchen suite is so easy to put together, as well as the cage itself. Worth every penny. My guinea pigs both love their kitchen so much and the awning above helps give them a sense of security. I will definitely be purchasing more products from the site in the future!!
